Well, this little guy kicked off the whole Drunkimals series. If furry’s like two things it’s animals and booze so I put them together into this fun series.
It took a bit of work to nail down what made these good and not so good but with help from my husband and our friends I think we have a good batch of creatures to sell at the anthrocon art show 2015
Be it ever so humble, the red drink cup is universal.
Done with copic marker, paint, and liner. The hardest part of this one was keeping the white white and the red where it belongs. I did eventually use a bit of copic paint where the white just wasn’t white enough.
I like my martini with a couple olives, and the cat hair is pretty inevitable.
Done with copic markers and liners. The trick with this one was showing a clear glass on white paper. On this one you get more shadow like the glass is near a wall. It give is more depth than just drawing lines on a sheet.
There is nothing like a nice warm beverage when you have a bit of a cold.
What color is an orange vs a lemon? The color of various citrus fruits was highly debated in the making of this picture which lead to the creation of several versions before this one was picked. This yellow is to bright, that looks like an orange, no one drinks hot Toddy’s with lime, etc… I thought about posting the fails but I didn’t apparently save them. I hope this warms the depths of a bad cold.
There is something about mint and lime which just help beat the heat.
This was done with copic markers, liners, and paints. The ice was done with a technique where you use one marker to deliver another markers color which you’ve put on the tip. In this case I put some cool gray on the tip of a colorless blender. It let me apply the right color without saturating the paper or leaving a solid line where the marker left off.
