Christmas kitty #art

This piece is pretty large for me. It’s on a 14×11″ piece of vellum paper that started out white. Each petal was colored in, individually, with 3 red color pencils and 3 cool grey pencils. I use prismacolor pencils. The flowers took me nearly a month and the the cat took me only a few hrs lol. It will be on Christmas cards this year and I look forward to knowing my art is bringing holiday cheer.

I’m pretty sure I’m gonna hear from someone how poinsettia are poisonous to kitties but I think this guys safe. 😉 don’t you.

Grim baby #art

A few days ago my husband asked me for a Chibi grim reaper. Here is the work up.
so, for some crazy reason, I decided to take the large sketch pad to work and forget my regular pencil. So alli had to draw with was a non photo blue. So this is a technique I don’t use often.

And because it’s a crap set of picks cause… Non photo blue pencil I took a min to do a tiny bit of pen work.

And because I’m nuts of filled in all the skeleton pile, it’s not done yet.

Supplies cannon 11×14 sketch paper, non photo blue pencil, copic liner, and the grey Kneeded eraser.

Singing ducks #art

I had some time on the drive to Indy Fur Con a week ago (5ish hrs) and I doodled in the car. This is one of those doodles inked and cleaned up a bit.

I colored it once already but I f’d it up so I will try again later. Just not now.

Belly flop belly (trying to assimilate new tech) #art

As with yesterday, I am still playing with how to draw and paint animation. I think this one more accurately assimilates my tech and the books tech. I hope u agree. I think I may present you with steps next time.

Still using a mechanical pencil with soft pencil lead. Just a heads up, the soft lead messes with mechanical pencil mechanisms but still worth it.

I mostly do cute cuddly little creatures with little extra emotions. They express themselves in their liquor or dessert of choice mostly. So @buried_in_books found a how to draw and paint animation book and I’m playing with it. Most of you know by now that I’m working on xmas gear. So here is my brute moose

He’s just a sketch but I hope you enjoy him. I kept breaking the lead in my pencil and I was sketching in bed so now I have pencil lead in bed.
